When I normally think of destination weddings I usually think of photographing weddings on the beach either in Florida, California or Mexico. Sometimes I think of the castles of Europe or the mountains of New Zealand, which for the record I would love you forever if you hired me to photograph your wedding there. But, up until recently I never really thought of my home here in Nashville as a destination for couples looking to exchange their vows.

On June 13th I got to participate in the Wedding Market Chat at the Gaylord Opryland. The event featured Nashville as a destination for weddings to its readers all over the world. After thinking a little more about it many of our 2012 couples are from outside of Tennessee and chose Nashville for their wedding because of its central location and beautiful venues.

(P.S. make sure you try the brown sugar bacon at Gaylord Opryland, it is amazing!)

Nashville has so many great things to offer from The Parthenon, its rich music heritage, amazing downtown skyline and easy access to the airport.  If you are thinking about Nashville as a destination for your wedding we would love to talk with you and recommend some of our favorite venues and see how we could help you with your wedding photography needs.
