Jonah picked the perfect Spring day to propose to his girlfriend Bethany. He also picked the perfect spot for the surprise proposal, the Wisteria Arbor at Cheekwood Botanical Gardens. If you have never been these photos hardly do the spot justice. It is connected to the grand mansion and has beautiful views of the reflecting pool and Tennessee rolling hills in the background. If you are fan of The Office television show you might remember the teapot and understand its significance. Jonah packed it full of mementos and notes and let Bethany open it before getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him.

After she said yes they shared a champagne toast (Cheekwood includes this in their proposal packages and I think it is the perfect touch!). And then the three of us explored Cheekwood together and got some gorgeous engagement photos of the newly engaged couple. Jonah had timed his proposal perfectly as Cheekwood had just started celebrating their 10th anniversary “In Bloom” festival which features more than 250,000 tulips as well as their magnolias, redbuds, and dogwoods springing to life! It was so much fun capturing these memories for the happy couple.
