Bethany and Kevin were a lot of fun to work with.  I had met Bethany before but it was my first time meeting Kevin.  From talking with Bethany I knew that she had high standards for her photography and really wanted a photojournalistic style approach to her pictures.  I’m always slightly nervous when I’m meeting a couple together for the first time because I really don’t know how they are going to interact together.  People who have great chemistry and have a joyous outlook on life are much easier to photograph.

As soon as we started talking I knew the shoot was going to go great.  Bethany and Kevin both have great personalities and were well prepared for the engagement session.

We started the shoot by climbing up the steps of the Parthenon which is where they got engaged!  Kevin showed me where he proposed to Bethany. *Pro tip: use your engagement session to express who you are as a couple and include things and places that are meaningful to you its ok to be different and showcase your style and personality!*

These next two photos are some of my absolute favorites.  I love how beautiful the garden is at Centennial Park and Bethany and Kevin seemed like they could sit on this bench for hours (while I was rolling around in the wet grass getting these shots).

At the end of the session I commended them both and Kevin especially with how well he did and how effortless it was to pose them.  Bethany told me that Kevin had read my blog post about Ashley and Kolade’s engagement session and how I had written about how well Kolade did with PDA’s (public displays of affection) and that Kevin had taken that as a challenge to do even better.  Needless to say I’m really looking forward to working with them for their wedding.
